Hi, I’m Amy. I live in Hardiness Zone 7b/8a with my fiance Jim. The growing season is much longer here than when I lived in Zone 6b up North. There is such great joy in planting a small seed and watching it grow into a beautiful plant. Gardening is very relaxing for me, and I want to share what I have learned and continue to learn with others.
Gardening is a passion of mine. Growing vegetables, flowers, herbs, and house plants brings me great joy. My plants are grown in a variety of containers, raised beds, a vertical tower, hydroponically, in the ground, and greenhouses. I start almost all of my plants from seeds or cuttings. I do enjoy purchasing new plants now and again as well.
Gardening brings me calm. It is very peaceful to work with my plants and enjoy nature. Plenty of interesting wildlife lives around here, and as a result, there is quite a bit of entertainment in the garden.
We hope you will visit often and see the different projects and experiences we have to share. Growing, harvesting, preserving, creating and building are just a few of the activities we will be sharing at Sassy Seedlings. Take that next step and start growing today! With gardening, it starts with growing plants and often leads to growing as a person. “Thyme” to start growing!
There are so many varieties of plants available. Therefore, always something new to try! You can say I am one of those people who get excited over the little things. I love a great bargain, clearance sales, and thrift shops. One of my goals this year is to look for cool finds and turn them into something creative and useful for my growing spaces. Garden chic, anyone? I have a sense of humor and I look forward to sharing my gardening adventures with everyone.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you will come back and continue to share in the adventures here at Sassy Seedlings
